Rebels Head To California For Inaugural Tournament

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's golf will continue its season by playing in the inaugural Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif. at the Silverado Resort and Spa, which is co-hosted by Oregon and Colorado.

The two-day, 54-hole, tournament will start by teams playing 36 holes on Monday and will play the final 18 holes on Tuesday. The 15-team field includes, in order of Golfstat rankings, USC (1), Arizona (9), Washington (11), Northwestern (20), California (33), co-host Oregon (35), San Diego State (43), UNLV (44), Wisconsin (46), co-host Colorado (52), New Mexico (69), San Jose State (72), Oregon State (73), Washington State (79) and Fresno State (106). Teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. PT with a shotgun start on Monday.

UNLV's lineup will consist of junior Dana Finkelstein, who ranks No. 15 in Golfstat's rankings, junior Mayko Chwen Wang, senior Demi Mak and freshmen Avery French and Vivian Hsuan Chen.
