NAPA, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team is 11th at the Silverado Showdown, which is being played at the par-72, 6,196 yard, Silverado Resort and Spa. The team posted a two-round score of 27-over-par 603 (303-300) after the first day in California.
The Pac-12 dominates the top-five after two round as No. 11 Washington has a one-stroke lead over No. 1 USC. The Huskies turned in a score of 5-over 581 (289-292) on Monday compared to the Trojans score of 6-over 582 (295-287). Oregon State is third at 7-over, No. 20 Northwestern is fourth at 9-over and No. 9 Arizona rounds out the top-five at 14-over.
Arizona's Lindsey Weaver leads all individuals at 8-under 136 (69-67). San Jose State's Regan De Guzman is second at 6-under 138 (67-71) and Washington's SooBin Kim is third at 5-under 139 (68-71).
Junior Mayko Chwen Wang, who turned in a score of 3-over 147 (74-73), leads the Rebels and is tied for 18th after the first two rounds. Junior Dana Finkelstein is tied for 27th at 5-over 149 (77-72), senior Demi Mak is tied for 45th at 9-over 153 (78-75), freshmen Avery French (74-82) and Vivian Hsuan Chen (78-80) sit tied for 53rd at 12-over and tied for 58th at 14-over, respectively.
A total of 15 teams and 75 individuals are competing in the two-day tournament, which will conclude with the final round on Tuesday. Third round tee times are set for 8:30 a.m. PT. Live scoring is available off a link at UNLVRebels.com, courtesy of Golfstat.
