LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - This season's UNLV football game vs. Fresno State will be played one day earlier than previously announced as kickoff at Sam Boyd Stadium is now set for 7:00 p.m. PT on Friday, Oct. 10.

The conference matchup was picked up by CBS Sports Network and added to the previously announced Friday night Mountain West lineup after another game, Northern Illinois at UNLV, could not be moved to Friday for logistical reasons.

The defending league champion Bulldogs will take on the Rebels in Las Vegas for the first time since both were members of the Western Athletic Conference in 1996. UNLV will open the season on a Friday at Arizona but the Fresno State game will mark the first time UNLV hosts a Friday football game since it downed Air Force on Nov. 24, 2006. The Rebels boast a 6-1-1 all-time record in Friday games.
