LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV junior Dana Finkelstein becomes the fourth UNLV women's golfer in school history to be earn All-America honors after she was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Second Team, the WGCA announced on Thursday.

The Chandler, Ariz. native had a stellar junior campaign for the Rebels and was named the Mountain West Golfer of the Year for the second consecutive year, won two tournaments and led the league with a 72.11 scoring average, which is the lowest average in school history. She finished runner-up at the NCAA Central Regional and sank her first career hole-in-one at the NCAA Championship, where she finished tied for 33rd.
"It was a great year overall and to be named to an All-American team is a great honor," Finkelstein said.
Finkelstein took top honors this season at the Colonel Wollenberg's Ram Classic and the Peg Barnard Invitational. She earned Mountain West Golfer of the Week/Month honors four of the eight times it was handed out during 2013-14 season. She also turned in five other top-five finishes at tournaments, including three runner-up finishes. Along with being name the MW Golfer of the Year, she picked up All-MW honors for the second straight year. She was also named to the WGCA All-Central Region team. It is the second straight year that Finkelstein has been named to an all-region team.
Finkelstein is the fourth Rebel to earn All-America honors, joining Sunny Oh, who was an honorable mention selection in 2003 and a second team member in 2004, Da Sol Chung, who was a first team member in 2006 and Therese Koelbaek who was an honorable mention in 2007 and 2008 and a second team (NGCA) and third team (Golfweek) member in 2011.
