Sept. 25, 2014 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's soccer team (5-2-1) looks to extend its current two-game win streak as it opens Mountain West play with a pair of road games at Front Range schools Colorado State on Friday at 3 pm (PT) and Wyoming on Sunday at 12 pm (PT). While this weekend marks the beginning of the conference season, its also the end of a month-long, six-game road swing, in which it has posted a 2-1-1 record thus far including a pair of one-goal victories over UTEP and New Mexico State this past weekend.

UNLV Weekly ReleaseAll About The Rebels The Rebels are 1-0 all-time against second-year program Colorado State after a 1-0 win in Las Vegas a season ago. It's been seven years since the Rebels have lost a game to the Cowgirls of Wyoming, having gone 3-0-4 the past seven meetings. In 2013, UNLV won 3-2 in overtime in Laramie, before tying the Cowgirls in the first round of the MW Tournament. Wyoming advanced after winning a penalty kick shootout.
The Rebels have spread their scoring around this season, with as four players have two goals each and five more players have scored once this season for the Rebels. The team's leading scorer thus far is junior midfielder
Denali Murnan with two goals and four assists for eight points points. In goal for UNLV is freshman keeper
Jordan Sallee, who played the majority of time this season and has a 1.18 GAA and 28 saves.
Scouting Colorado State Colorado State is looking to break a two game losing streak as it hosts UNLV and Nevada, Reno this weekend. After those back-to-back losses, the Rams are now 2-6-0 on the season. Leading Colorado State in scoring is Gianna Bertana with one goal and three points, while Jesse McGinley leads in the net with 29 saves.
Scouting Wyoming As head coach Pete Cuadrado heads into conference play for his third season with the Cowgirls, Wyoming currently sits at 2-5-1. The leading scorer for the Cowgirls is Kasey Curtis with three goals and six points. Goalkeeper Alex Boehm heads into the weekend with 28 saves.
Next Time Out The Rebels will be back in Las Vegas to continue conference play against Fresno State on Fri. Oct. 3 at 7 pm (PT), and San Jose State on Sun. Oct. 5 at 10:30 am (PT). These are the first of four home games in a row for UNLV.
