LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -

No. 22 UNLV women's golf will continue its 2014-15 season by hosting the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on October 25-27.

The 54-hole event will be played at the par-72, 6,277-yard Boulder Creek Country Club with live scoring provided by BirdieFire. Teams will play the front nine each day on the Desert Hawk course and back nine on the Coyote Run course.

Play will begin with the first round on Sunday with a 12:00 p.m. PT5 shotgun start. Monday and Tuesday will have a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. PT. The Rebels will be paired with Vanderbilt and New Mexico for the opening round.

Competing for the Rebels this week will be freshmen Elizabeth Prior and Kaylee Benton, sophomores Mackenzie Raim and Harley Dubsky and junior Alexandra Kaui. Freshmen Shannon Oh, Alyssa Getty and Texie June Petchel and junior Vivian Hsuan Chen will also be competing as individuals.

UNLV is coming off a third place finish at the Betsy Rawls Invitational last week. Prior finished tied for second place at 4-under-par 212 and was the only golfer to finish at least one-under-par in all three rounds. Benton finished in 10th place at 2-over 218 and has finished in the top 10 in two of three tournaments so far this season.

The Rebels will be part of an 19-team field that includes (Golf Stat Rankings listed) No. 72 Colorado State, No. 85 Fresno State, No. 27 Gonzaga, No. 77 Idaho, No. 76 Indiana, No. 68 Long Beach State, No. 55 Michigan, No. 47 Minnesota, No. 28 Missouri, No. 118 Nebraska, No. 108 Nevada, Reno, No. 24 New Mexico, No. 21 San Diego State, No. 42 Texas, No. 49 San Jose State, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 160 UC Irvine and No. 39 Vanderbilt.

Admission to the tournament is free and fans are invited to attend.
