Kaylee Benton has been named Mountain West Co-Women's Golfer of the Month for October along with New Mexico sophomore Ingrid Gutierrez. This is the first MW golfer of the month/week accolade for Benton.
Benton was instrumental in UNLV's third place finish at the Betsy Rawls Invitational and first place finish at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, recording two top-15 finishes. She carded a 2-over 218 at the Besty Rawls Invitational to finish tied for 10th place. At the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown she finished tied for 13th while shooting an 8-under 208 to help the host Rebels tie Vanderbilt as winners of the tournament. Her opening round 68 at the home tournament was the lowest single-round so far for the freshman.
