The UNLV football team won back the famed Fremont Cannon on Saturday in the rain so a little wet stuff on Monday was fitting for the players to parade their beloved trophy through campus.

Led by head coach Tony Sanchez, the group left the Lied Athletic Complex and made the journey to the Student Union where cans of red paint awaited.

After the ceremony, the Cannon was delivered to the campus paint shop for an official cleaning and painting in advance of its 2015 debut at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday when the Rebels host San Jose State at 6 p.m.
