LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Host UNLV picked up a couple of final-day wins on Sunday to close out the Rebel Tennis Women's Invitational at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

In the top flight of singles, Aiwen Zhu took the consolation draw crown with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over TCU's Aleksandra Zenovka, 6-2, 6-4.

In doubles play, Zhu and Paola Artiga got by Baylor's Blair Shankle and Elizabeth Profit, 8-6, to finish as runners-up in Flight One. Joining the Rebels in the powerhouse lineup this weekend were competitors from top national programs such as USC, Baylor, TCU, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas A&M as well as ITA Mountain Region rival Idaho. UNLV head coach Kevin Cory's squad is now off until hosting another elite field in the annual Freeman Memorial event in mid-January.
