LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -
Members of the UNLV women's and men's tennis teams hosted a field day for the Victoria Fertitta Middle School 6th grade and 7th grade academies on Tuesday and Thursday this week at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on campus.
Over the two days, more than 250 children participated in the tennis clinic and enoyed a pizza party with Rebel student-athletes.
Also, UNLV Director of Athletics Tina Kunzer-Murphy was also on hand to address the Firebirds.
"It was great to have the kids here and a valuable opportunity for our student-athletes to interact with the local community," said UNLV women's tennis head coach Kevin Cory. "Thank you to Principal Lisa Burkhead for bringing out the kids and it's always a pleasure having Mrs. Fertitta out to our facility, which her family was so gracious in creating for UNLV's tennis programs.
