Nov. 5, 2015 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - With the UNLV football team staging its 48th Homecoming game, the all-new Rebel Block Party is a great place for alumni to get ready for kickoff at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday.
Free and open to the public, this time starting at high noon, the Rebel Block Party is located in the northwest parking lot of the stadium. The 64,000-square-foot area offers a variety of food trucks on-site to lead you up to the 3:00 p.m. kickoff against Hawai'i.
The Block Party will also include a free Kids Zone featuring a face painter, balloon artist, football toss and inflatables.
As always, fans are encouraged to gather at the Block Party to help the UNLV cheer and dance teams and Star of Nevada Marching Band greet UNLV head coach Tony Sanchez and his squad as they make their Rebel Walk into the stadium. Team buses are scheduled to arrive this Saturday at 1:05 p.m.
Following the Rebel Walk, a free concert will begin at 1:30 p.m. as appearing live on the Rebel Block Party Stage this week will be Daniel Park, a local musician who plays violin, acoustic guitar and sings.
Also, the Lady Rebel basketball team will be on hand for photos and autographs from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Tickets for the Hawaii game, which start as low as $20, are available now by visiting www.unlvtickets.com or calling (702) 739-FANS (3267).
