UNLV Ends Road Trip With Conference Opener...

The end of the month-long road trip for the Lady Rebels is finally in sight, as UNLV closes out a stretch of six games in December away from Las Vegas with Wednesday night's conference opener at Fresno State.

Both teams come in looking to stop two-game losing streaks. UNLV dropped a pair of tight games in the Beach Classic to top-100 RPI teams UTEP (by eight points) and the host LBSU 49ers (four points) to end the non-conference schedule the weekend before Christmas. Fresno State meanwhile dropped a home game to San Diego before falling at Utah by 15 points.

The Lady Rebels are 8-8 all-time in Mountain West season openers, and have won three of their last four. The one loss coming at the hands of Fresno State in Las Vegas to start the 2013-14 conference season. In MW openers on the road, the Lady Rebels are 2-3.

One key matchup on Wednesday will be at the center position, as two of the top players at that position face off. UNLV senior Aley Rohde is posting 10.7 ppg and 9.5 rebounds per game, trailing just Bego Faz Davlos for FS, who is first with 10.8 rpg (along with 13.5 ppg).
