Feb. 23, 2015 SANTA ANA, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - No. 19 UNLV women's golf is tied for eighth after two rounds of the UC Irvine Invitational presented by Kia. The Rebels are 19-over-par 595 (301-294) at the par-72, 5,903-yard, Santa Ana Country Club.
Washington leads all teams and is the only team that is under par at 10-under 566 (283-283). USC is second at 1-over 577 (287-290) and Texas A&M is third at 2-over 578 (286-292).
USC's Gabriella Then leads all individuals at 6-under 138 (70-68). Texas Tech's Kimmy Hill (68-72) and Texas A&M's Marijosse Navarro (72-68) are tied for second at 4-under 140. Washington's Jennifer Yang (69-72) and Stanford's Lauren Kim (72-69) round out the top five at 3-under 141.
Senior
Dana Finkelstein, who turned in an even-par 144 (72-72) and is tied for 12th after two rounds, leads UNLV.
Also competing for the Rebels is freshman
Harley Dubsky, who turned in a two round score of 6-over 150 (77-73) and is 37th. Freshman
Mackenzie Raim (74-78) and senior
Mayko Chwen Wang (78-74) are tied for 43rd at 8-over 152. Sophomore
Avery French is tied for 48th at 9-over 153 (78-75).
The 13 teams and 72 individuals will play the third and final round on Tuesday. UNLV will be paired with UC Davis and Pepperdine and French will be the first Rebel to tee off at 7:45 a.m. Wang will tee off at 7:53 a.m., followed by Raim at 8:01 a.m., Dubsky at 8:09 a.m. and Finkelstein at 8:17 a.m.
