Feb. 9, 2015 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - No. 15 UNLV women's golf is 11th after the second round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. The Rebels are 32-over-par 600 (303-297) at the par-71, 6,017-yard, Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Baylor continues to lead the field at 2-over 570 (281-289) with USC nine strokes back at 11-over 579 (287-292) and Arizona State 14 strokes back in third at 16-over 584 (285-299). Arizona is fourth at 20-over 588 (296-292) and Florida Oklahoma State are tied for fifth at 21-over 589.
Individually the Rebels are led by senior
Dana Finkelstein, who ranks fifth in the country. She carded a 4-over 75 in the second round and is tied for 25th at 7-over 149 (74-75) for the tournament.
UCLA's Bronte Law (68-69) and Baylor's Hayley Davis (69-68) are tied for the lead at 5-under 137. Arizona State's Monica Vaughn (69-71) and USC's Amy Lee (68-72) are tied for third at 2-under 140. Washington's Ying Luo rounds out the top-five at even-par 142 (68-74)
Also competing for the Rebels is senior
Mayko Chwen Wang, who is tied for 35th at 9-over 151 (75-76). Freshmen
Harley Dubsky is tied for 47th at 10-over 152 (77-75) and
Mackenzie Raim is tied for 53rd at 11-over 153 (82-71). Sophomore
Avery French rounds out the Rebel lineup and is tied for 66th at 13-over 155 (77-78)
The 16 teams and 88 individuals will play the third and final round on Tuesday with a shotgun start slated for 8:30 a.m. PT.
