2015 Football Schedule Released

March 2, 2015

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV football team will see three new conference opponents this fall in the cross-divisional system as the Mountain West Conference released its season schedule Monday.

Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports Network and ESPN will now initiate a selection procedure that will include the shifting of particular games to Thursdays and Fridays. That will be followed by the identification of network outlets and kick times, along with the picks for regional partner ROOT SPORTS and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders.

The 48th season of UNLV football kicks off Sept. 5 with the Rebels visiting Northern Illinois for the first time since 1995. The trip to DeKalb follows the Huskies' visit to Las Vegas last fall.

UNLV's home schedule opens Sept. 12 with a first-ever meeting with Pac-12 Conference power UCLA. One week later, the Rebels travel to take on one of the most storied program in college athletics when they play Michigan in Ann Arbor Sept. 19.

On Sept. 26, the non-conference schedule will be completed when Big Sky Conference member Idaho State comes to Las Vegas for the first time since 2006.

The Rebels open their Mountain West schedule with the Battle for the Fremont Cannon at Nevada, Reno Oct. 3. UNLV will then host San Jose State Oct. 10 before traveling to Fresno State one week later on Oct. 17.

After the season's only bye week, defending Mountain Division champion Boise State will come to town on Halloween for what will be the first meeting of the schools in Las Vegas since 2011. It will also mark the first time UNLV enjoys two home games in the month of October in half a decade.

Hawai'i visits on Nov. 7 to complete the only back-to-back home games on this year's slate. UNLV renews its rivalry with a trip to Colorado State on Nov. 14 while the home schedule closes on Nov. 21 with an appearance by San Diego State. A second trip in three weeks to the Front Range will close out the regular-season schedule as UNLV visits Wyoming on Nov. 28.

UNLV opens its first spring practice under new head coach Tony Sanchez on March 16 at Rebel Park. The annual spring game is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 on campus.

New football season tickets are on sale now starting at only $99 for all home games. Renewals are also available now, starting as low as $79. Log on to www.unlvtickets.com or call (702) 739-FANS for more information.
