RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - No. 19 UNLV women's golf is fourth after the second round of the Mountain West Championship, which is being played at the par-72, 6,324 yard, Dinah Shore Tournament Course at the Mission Hills Country Club. The Rebels turned in an 10-over-par 298 on Tuesday and sit at 21-over 597 (299-298) for the tournament. 

San Jose State (293-296) and San Diego State (288-301) are tied for the tournament lead at 13-over 589 after two rounds. Nevada, Reno is third at 19-over 595 (299-296) and Boise State rounds out the top-five at 26-over 602 (301-301).

UNLV is led by senior Dana Finkelstein and she is tied for second after moving up seven spots in the standings. Finkelstein (74-69), who ranks sixth in the country according to Golfweek, posted the lowest individual score of the second round at 3-under 69 and is tied with New Mexico's Manon Molle (72-71) at 1-under 143.

The pair is three strokes behind SDSU's Milagros Chaves, who continues to lead the field despite turning in a second round score of 2-over. She leads the tournament with a two-round score of 4-under 140.

Also competing for the Rebels is sophomore Avery French, who is in 20th after two rounds at 8-over 152 (75-77). Freshmen Harley Dubsky (72-81) and Mackenzie Raim (78-75) are tied for 21st at 9-over 153 and senior Mayko Chwen Wang is tied for 28th at 11-over 155 (78-77).

The final round will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday and UNLV will be paired with Colorado State and Boise State. Wang will be the first Rebel to tee off at 7:45 a.m. followed by Raim, Dubsky, French and Finkelstein.
