June 9, 2015 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV sophomore wide receiver Devonte Boyd (first team), senior safety Peni Vea (second team) and junior linebacker Tau Lotulelei (third team) were all named preseason All-Mountain West Conference by Athlon's, the publication announced Tuesday.
Boyd, a graduate of Henderson's Basic High School, was a member of the FWAA Freshman All-America Team last year after being named the MW Freshman of the Year. He led the FBS in receiving yards during the regular season and his 65 catches for 980 yards both were UNLV freshman records.
Vea, out of Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i, and a graduate of Kealakehe High School, ranked second on the team last year with 88 total tackles, including 7.5 for loss. He was second on the squad with 3.5 quarterback sacks and added one interception and one forced fumble.
Lotulelei, out of Maui High School in Hawai'i, had a team-leading 99 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and added three sacks.
