CLAREMONT, Calif. - Two of the five UNLV tennis players entered advanced to the third day of singles qualifying matches Saturday at the 2015 Claremont USTA Pro Classic in California.

Competing at the Claremont Club in this pro circuit event, Jakob Amilon downed teammate Richard Solberg in a three-setter, 6-7, 6-1, 5-1 retired; and Alexandr Cozbinov swept Keanu Ellen 6-3, 6-1. Local product Rhett Boss was eliminated by Cody Rakela, 6-4, 6-2.

Qualifying continues Sunday and the event runs through September 20.
