Lady Rebels Looking To Even League Record...
The Lady Rebels will be in a familiar place this week, as they are back on the road once again for a two-game swing, beginning with Wednesday night's Mountain West contest at New Mexico. This will be the seventh game in the last nine for UNLV on the road, after spending the entire month of December away from Las Vegas.
UNLV looks to build on the confidence gained from its last outing, in which the Lady Rebels routed Wyoming 66-37, thanks to a 30-6 start to the contest. That was even more impressive considering it was just the second game without Aley Rohde, (second leading rebounder in the MW), currently out with an ankle injury suffered in shootaround of the Colorado State loss.
The Lady Rebels have faced a difficult stretch, and both of their losses are to the only undefeated teams in the league, Colorado State and Fresno State. New Mexico meanwhile has lost three of its last four at home, while its lone conference win is over 2-13 Nevada, Reno. UNLV will look to push its edge on the boards, as it ranks in the top 10 in the nation in total rebounds and offensive boards.
