UNLV's Game Notes vs. Air Force | 2015-16 UNLV Media Guide

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After winning its first Mountain West game of the season on Tuesday night against New Mexico, 86-74, in Interim Head Coach Todd Simon's debut, the UNLV men's basketball team will remain at home for its next game this Saturday, Jan. 16, against Air Force at 7 p.m.

Saturday will be "Family Fun Night" at the Thomas & Mack Center with an offer of four tickets for $40 available when purchased prior to gameday. It will also be the annual Rebel Kids Club game - there will be giveaways and a free Kid Zone in the Cox Pavilion before the Runnin' Rebel game. The Kid Zone will be open from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. In addition, the first 100 Rebel Kids Club members to the Kid Zone will receive a free Runnin' Rebel basketball and members will also have the chance to sign up for an exclusive on-court promotion that will take place during halftime of the game.

With the victory on Tuesday night, UNLV (10-7, 1-3 MW) ended a stretch that saw it lose five of six games.The Runnin' Rebels were 9-4 during its non-conference season, playing three top-15 teams. UNLV went 2-1 in such games recording wins vs. then-No. 13/14 Indiana at the Maui Invitational and vs. then-No. 15/16 Oregon at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The loss was at then-No. 13/12 Arizona.

Air Force (10-7, 1-3 MW) has lost three straight games after winning four in a row. Its current streak consists of losses at Wyoming (64-52), vs. Nevada, Reno (86-63) and at Utah State (79-60).

Saturday's game will be streamed on ESPN3 with Ari Wolfe and Bill Herenda calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio broadcast, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/100.9 FM. All internet links along with live stats will be available at UNLVRebels.com.
