TULSA, Okla. - UNLV junior Ruben Alberts lost in straight sets in the first round of singles prequalifying at the 2016 St. Francis ITA Men's Tennis All-American Championships being hosted at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Playing at Tulsa Union High School, Alberts lost the battle of Rebels as Ole Miss sophomore Ricardo Jorge won 6-4, 6-4.

Alberts will play a consolation match on Sunday. Qualifying starts Monday when Rebel junior Alexandr Cozbinov will be start his bid toward earning a spot in the main draw.
