Oklahoma State jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning in the first game. After back to back singles to start the inning, the Cowgirls used a sacrifice fly to score their first run.

The Rebels evened the game up in the fifth inning. Courtney Beavers led off with a single to third base and stole second base. After advancing to third base on a ground out to the pitcher by Jadelyn Yadao-Valdez, Beavers scored on a single through the left side by Jamie DePippo.

The Cowgirls took the lead for good in the sixth inning. Once again Oklahoma State started the inning with consecutive singles. The bases became loaded with one out on a hit by pitch. Another hit by pitch allowed the game-winning baserunner to jog home for a run. A single on a ground ball just out of second baseman Alyssa Cordova's reach allowed the second run of the inning to score.

Another Oklahoma State run was added in the seventh inning. A fielding error on a one-out single allowed the baserunner to advance to third base, and a sacrifice bunt produced the final run of the game.

UNLV had the tying run at the plate in the seventh inning. Yadao-Valdez beat the throw from the catcher on a groundball for a two-out single, and Garie Blando drew a walk. The game ended on a ground out to the first baseman by DePippo.

The second game saw the Cowgirls' offense explode for 11 combined runs in the third and fourth innings. Oklahoma State scored four runs off four hits, one walk and one hit by pitch. After a leadoff double and a one-out walk, the Cowgirls scored the first two runs of the game and took the lead for good on a two RBI-double to center field. After a hit by pitch another double to left center knocked in one run. With two-outs a RBI-infield single produced the fourth and final run of the inning.

The Rebels cut their deficit to one run in their turn at the plate in the third inning. Madison Rogers led off with a walk, and Yadao-Valdez singled to second base. Blando knocked in Rogers on a single to right field. After DePippo advanced both Yadao-Valdez and Blando one base on a sacrifice bunt, Janine Petmecky hit a RBI-single through the left side. Emily Haslinger hit a RBI-single to first base in the next at-bat for the third run of the inning.

Oklahoma State pushed the game out of UNLV's reach in the next inning with seven runs. After the leadoff hitter lined out to the shortstop Blando, the Cowgirls had eight straight batters reach base on six singles, a walk and a hit by pitch that allowed five runs to be scored. The inning was capped with a two RBI-single up the middle with two outs for the sixth and seventh runs of the inning.

The Rebels scored three runs in the fifth inning. Yadao-Valdez singled on a ground ball to the pitcher to begin the inning, and Blando then singled through the right side. The bases became loaded on a single to the pitcher by DePippo. Petmecky singled to left field to knock in Yadao-Valdez and Blando. Brooke Stover hit a RBI-single to left field with one out with DePippo scoring the third run of the inning.
