LAS VEGAS(UNLVRebels.com) - The host Rebels closed out their fall season-opening tournament Sunday with the final round of the annual UNLV Women's Tennis Fall Invitational at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

No. 103 ranked Carol Yang, who was playing for the Flight Two singles title, defeated Zoe Katz of USC 6-3, 6-2. Jovana Kenic also won her final in Flight Five to a NAU player, 6-3, 7-6, Brandy Walker. Paola Artiga, playing in Flight Three, did win the consolation bracket with a 7-6, 6-3 win over Lena Pacholski of LBSU.

Yang and Aiwen Zhu took third place in Flight One doubles beating Blanka Szavay and Hanneke Lodewijks of NAU 8-5. Artiga and Kenic also got a win in Flight Three doubles, knocking off Antonella Santeusanio and Estee Widdershoven of LBSU 8-3, to earn the title.

UNLV will next be in action on Oct. 1 at the Riviera All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, CA.
