Runnin' Rebels Highlight Rebel Block Party At Saturday's Homecoming

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - With the UNLV football team set to host Fresno State for Homecoming Saturday night at Sam Boyd Stadium, it's also time for the Rebel Block Party pregame experience presented by Smith's to get fired up.

Open to the public, this time starting at 4:30 p.m., the Rebel Block Party is located in the northwest parking lot of the stadium. The 64,000-square-foot area offers a variety of activities and food on-site to lead you up to the 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

The Block Party will also include a free Kids Zone featuring a face painter, football toss and inflatables.

Fans are encouraged to gather at the Block Party to help the UNLV cheer and dance teams and Star of Nevada Marching Band greet UNLV head coach Tony Sanchez and his squad as they make their Rebel Walk into the stadium. Team buses are scheduled to arrive this Saturday just before 5:30 p.m.

Before the Rebel Walk, a free concert will begin at 4:30 p.m. as appearing live on the Rebel Block Party Stage this week will be local artists Nick Mattera and Patrick Genoves.

Also, the Runnin' Rebel basketball team will drop by to sign autographs for fans around 6:30 p.m.
