Lady Rebels Host High Scoring Spartans...
UNLV has won five of its past six games despite not passing 60 points in any of the victories, thanks to a defense that allowed just 50.4 points per game. The Lady Rebels will most likely need a higher offensive impact to keep its win streak alive on Saturday however, as the San Jose State Spartans bring the top scoring offense in the league (74.4 ppg in MW games) to the Cox Pavilion. The last time the two faced off in the Cox Pavilion, SJSU claimed a 99-97 victory on March 6, 2015, its first win over UNLV in Las Vegas in 19 meetings.
The game will tip off at 4 pm and can be watched on the Mountain West Network at UNLVRebels.com, while the radio broadcast featuring Adam Candee and Wyatt Tomchek will be available on KSHP 1400 AM and online as well. Saturday is also National Women and Girls In Sports Day at UNLV, and the Rebel Athletic Department is hosting an all-sports clinic for over 300 kids prior to the game starting at 1:30 pm in the Mendenhall Center, while three UNLV women's teams that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2016 will be recognized during the contest.
