LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV Lady Rebels are ready to face off in an undefeated first-place battle as San Diego State comes to town on Saturday, January 17. Both squads head into the contest with a 7-0 Mountain West record.
ABOUT SAN DIEGO STATE: UNLV is 42-30 all-time against San Diego State. The Aztecs are the reigning 2025 MW Tournament champions. Under head coach
Lindy La Rocque, UNLV is 10-2 against SDSU. Over the last seven meetings, the Scarlet & Gray are 5-2. The Aztecs head into Saturday's contest with three players scoring in double-digits. Naomi Panganiban leads the team with 13.4 points per game. Nat Martinez is second on the squad with 10.6 points per game, while Nala Williams is close behind with 10.2 points per game. Kennedy Lee is the leading rebounder for SDSU, bringing down 5.5 boards per game.

LAST TIME ON THE COURT: For the third game in a row, the UNLV Lady Rebels had three players score double-digits as the UNLV women's basketball team defeated San Jose State 78-50 on Wednesday evening at Provident Credit Union Event Center. This marks the second consecutive season the Scarlet & Gray have started Mountain West play 7-0.
Mariah Elohim drained a season-high 18 points by shooting 6-for-10 from the three-point line. Elohim's six three-pointers tied her career-high.
Destiny Brown was the second-leading scorer with a season-high 15 points and second in rebounds with nine, which included four huge offensive rebounds.

Shelbee Brown picked up her sixth double-double of the season and fourth straight with 12 points and a team-high 13 rebounds.

SQUAD LEADERS: Meadow Roland leads the Scarlet & Gray in points per game, averaging 14.1 and she is the second-leading rebounder bringing down 9.1 boards per game.
Jasmyn Lott is second on the team with 13.1 points per game and second in made field goals with 5.0 per game.
Aaliyah Alexander leads the Lady Rebels in assists per game with 3.1. Alexander is also the third leading scorer on the squad, averaging 10.4 points per game.
Shelbee Brown leads the squad in rebounds with 10.1 per game and is fourth in points per game with 10.1.
NON-CONFERENCE WRAP: The Lady Rebels wrapped up non-conference play with a 5-5 overall record. UNLV's wins came against Washington State, DePaul, Creighton in the rematch of the 2023 NCAA First round, Northern Iowa and UTSA.
4X MOUNTAIN WEST REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS: The Lady Rebels continued to rise last season becoming the first Mountain West team since 2017 to collect four straight regular season titles. UNLV made a trip to the Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament (WBIT) and collected the first postseason victory in over two decades. The Scarlet & Gray claimed the league's Coach of the Year in
Lindy La Rocque and Freshman and Sixth Player of the Year for the second straight year with
Meadow Roland.
