LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV will have someone playing in the final of all four flights of singles and a duo in both doubles finals after dominating Saturday at the Rebel Tennis Women's Invitational at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The home team combined for a 6-1 singles mark and 4-0 in doubles play on Day Two.
The top flight of singles will feature UNLV's 83rd-ranked Aiwen Zhu, who advanced 7-6, 6-4 over Adriana Reami of North Carolina State. En-Pei Huang will vie for the Flight Two crown after rolling past Dorthea Faa Hviding of Texas A&M 6-2, 6-0; Izumi Asano swept Gitte Heyneman of Arizona 6-2, 6-2 in Flight Three; and Juliet Zhang whitewashed Zala Dovnik of Purdue 6-0, 6-0 in Flight Four.
Zhu and Huang doubled up their opponents from NCSU, 8-4, to advance to the Flight One doubles final while Zhang and Asano won by the same score over a Texas A&M duo in Flight Two.
Joining the Rebels at the event are competitors from Texas A&M, Purdue, North Carolina State, Arizona and Grand Canyon.
All matches are free and open to the public. Finals action gets underway with doubles play on Saturday at 9 a.m.
