2017 NCAA Indoor Championships: Friday's Results

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program's Destiny Smith-Barnett finished 14th overall in the preliminary rounds of the 60m at the NCAA Indoor Championships Friday. Smith-Barnett, who ran in the second of two heats, posted a time of 7.35 at Texas A&M's Gilliam Indoor Stadium.

"It was a great learning experience for Destiny, and it was a great opportunity for her to be amongst the best in the country," said assistant coach Larry Wade. "She will learn from this experience and get ready for the outdoor season."

The program will transition to the outdoor season, which begins next week -- March 16-18 -- at home in its own UNLV Spring Invitational & Sheila Tarr-Smith Multis at Myron Partridge Stadium.
