LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team will hit the road to compete in the Rice Invitational with dual matches against Texas A&M Corpus-Christi (9 a.m. PT) and No. 37 Rice (3 p.m. PT) on Saturday followed by Denver on Sunday at 10 a.m. PT in Houston, Texas and Rice's George R. Brown Tennis Center.
The Rebels are currently 10-4 after hosting dual matches on Tuesday falling to conference opponent Boise State 4-3 and beating Idaho State 4-1.
Leading the way are senior Jakob Amilon and junior Alexandr Cozbinov. Last week, Amilon was named the Mountain West men's tennis player of the week for the second time this season and fourth time in his career. He is currently 13-7 overall in singles and 11-6 in doubles at the top position. Cozbinov, who upset No. 54-ranked Arjun Kadhe of Oklahoma State at the second position 6-4, 6-3, is currently 13-5 overall in singles and 4-2 in doubles.
