LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 23 UNLV men's golf team shot a first-round 1-over-par 289 and holds the team lead as play was suspended because of darkness during the second round Monday at the Little Rock Invitational, which is being played at Chenal Country Club (par 72, 7,326 yards).
The Rebels, who have a one-shot lead over Illinois State, are 1-over for the tournament through the 14th hole in the second round. Seattle is third at 6-over, Arkansas State is fourth at 7-over and Arizona rounds out the top five at 9-over.
Individually, Illinois State's Trent Wallace is through 17 holes in the second round and leads by a shot at 4-under. Arizona's David Laskin is at 3-under with two holes to go. UNLV senior Harry Hall shot an opening-round 2-under 71 and is tied for third at 2-under with three holes to play in the second round.
Second-round play will continue at 7:45 a.m. CT on Tuesday with the final round scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. CT.
REBEL OF THE DAY: Hall's first round consisted of three birdies and two bogeys.
