The Rebels are coming off a 27-24 upset victory at San Diego State while the Rainbow Warriors enjoyed a bye week ... With starter Armani Rogers having missed the last six games after a foot injury, it has now been 22 years since the same quarterback started every game of a season for the Rebels (Jon Denton 1996) ... Rogers, who may return to action this week, was ranked in the top 10 in the nation with 122.0 rushing yards per game when he was knocked out in September ... Rogers' replacement behind center, sophomore Max Gilliam, has thrown for 13 touchdowns in six games, which is the most over any entire season by a UNLV player since Blake Decker's 15 in 2014 ... RB Lexington "Lightning" Thomas sits second in the MW and 36th in the country with 89.7 YPG ... Thomas (897 yards in 2018) is the second player in school history to run for at least 500 yards in four different seasons, joining all-time leading rusher Tim Cornett (2011-14) ... With his two scores at SDSU, Lex moved past two-time All-American Mike Thomas into first place on UNLV's career rushing TD list with 38 and is one 100-yard rushing game short of breaking Thomas' 44-year-old school record of 17 set in 1973-74.

Hawai'i leads the overall series 15-12 but the Rebels have won nine of the last 14 meetings, including three straight ... The home team had taken seven
straight in this series before UNLV won a thriller in its last visit to Honolulu in 2016 ... The Rebels are looking to win consecutive trips to Hawai'i for the first time ... Four of the last five games have been decided by one score ... Among FBS teams, only UNR is as old a Rebel rival as Hawai'i -- both schools first played UNLV in 1969, which was just the second year of the Rebel program ... UNLV has four players who list Aloha State hometowns: DB Soli Afalava, OL Nate Oishi, DB Luca Vartic (injured) and DL Salanoa-Alo Wily ...
