ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program sits tied with San Jose State for seventh place with 17 points apiece after two days of competition at the 2018 Mountain West Indoor Championships. The Rebels entered the day with 12 points and added five more with Jasmyne Graham's fourth-place finish in the long jump at the conference meet that is being held at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

The Scarlet & Gray advanced 11 runners to Saturday's finals in a total of five events. The 60m and 60m hurdles had three apiece, while the 200m and 400m had two each. The 800m qualified one to its final.

Drea Austin and Kaysha Love advanced in both the 60m and 200m. The former ran personal bests in both races with a 7.39 in the 60m and a 23.71 in the 200m, while the latter ran 7.38 (a personal best and tied for fourth best in the program's all-time performance list) and 23.98 in the respective events.

Destiny Smith-Barnett made her first appearance on the track this season, and posted a 7.39 in the 60m to give the Rebels the 3-4-5 spots in Saturday's finale.

The Hudspeth sisters notched the first- (Najia/54.51) and eighth-fastest (Nylia) times in the 400.

The Rebels' Jasmyne Graham ran the second-fastest 60m hurdles time (8.35), which bumped her from third to second in the program's all-time performance list. Her teammates Jaela Williams and Amari Norris qualified fifth (8.54) and sixth (8.60) in the event's final.

Avi'Tal Perteete finished third in the 800 prelims with a time of 2:12.37, one day after helping the Distance Medley Relay to another program program best Thursday night.

UNLV will look to score points in the aforementioned events as well as in the shot put and 4x400m relay. The team has already hauled in eight points from Stella Clemen's second-place showing in the pentathlon and the DMR's fourth-place finish Thursday.

STANDINGS AFTER DAY TWO: Colorado State leads the 11-team field with 45 points, while second through fifth place are separated by only 1.67 points: Air Force (26), New Mexico (25.50), Boise State (25) and Fresno State (24.33). UNR (21.50), UNLV (17), SJSU (17), Wyoming (16), Utah State (8.67) and San Diego State (8) round out sixth through 11th.
