Javin White was named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletic Communications department.
The Oakland native earned Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week after turning in seven tackles, 2.5 TFL, one interception and one forced fumble to lead the UNLV defense to holding its opponent to the fewest points on the road since 2003. He helped UNLV upset Vanderbilt 34-10 in Nashville this past weekend.
