SATURDAY'S PREVIEW...
Closing out its final season playing at the home of the Rebels for 49 years, UNLV (2-8/0-6) hosts San Jose State (4-6/1-5) Saturday afternoon ... The Rebels play their 299th game at SBS and come in with an all-time facility record of 156-139-3 ... The game will also serve as Senior Day as 18 players will be recognized on the field during pregame festivities ... To cap the season-long #SBSFinale Celebration, all former Rebel players are being invited back to serve as the team's honorary captain en masse and will be on the field for the pregame coin toss ... UNLV continues to look for its first Mountain West win of the season ... The Rebels fell 21-7 to Hawai'i last week while the Spartans enjoyed a bye ... Redshirt freshman QB and local product Kenyon Oblad has played the last 26 quarters after Armani Rogers got banged up at Wyoming ... Oblad's 1,649 passing yards rank fourth in program history by a freshman while his 13 touchdowns sit third (and tied for ninth in the nation among all current freshmen). Oblad has thrown a touchdown pass in all six of his starts and earlier this fall tied the school record by throwing at least two TDs in five consecutive games ... RB Charles Williams, who last week was named CoSIDA Academic All-District, continues to lead the Mountain West and is ranked 29th in the nation with 933 net rushing yards. Including a career-high 168 vs. Arkansas State, the "Chuck Wagon" also is second among all conference players with four 100-yard games in 2019 ... LB Javin White, who is tied for eighth at UNLV with eight career interceptions and third with seven forced fumbles, got his first career fumble recovery last week vs. Hawai'i  as part of UNLV's three turnovers in the first quarter.

REBELS vs. SPARTANS NOTES...
San José State leads the all-time series 16-6-1 but UNLV won the most recent meeting played in Las Vegas ... In fact, UNLV's 41-13 victory at home in 2017 was its largest win in series history (28 points) ... The Rebels are looking to down the Spartans in back-to-back home meetings for only the second time and first time since 1992 and '94 ... This is the third different league in which the Rebels and Spartans have met as rivals as they were also both in the Big West and WAC and then San José State joined the Mountain West in 2013 ... SJSU DL coach Joe Seumalo was a member of Tony Sanchez's first Rebel staff in 2015 ...  Dan Godfrey, the father of UNLV special teams standout Daniel Godfrey Jr., was a two-time All-Big West LB for the Spartans in 1993 and '94 ... UNLV safeties coach Al Simmons was on the 2005 SJSU staff.
