Looking back at each Rebel sports' top moment over the past decade.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Before we usher in the year 2020 and kick off a new decade, join us in taking a look back at the last 10 years as we present the top moment for each UNLV team.

UNLV junior shortstop Bryson Stott was selected 14th overall by the Philadelphia Phillies in the Major League Baseball First-Year Draft

2011
Rebels Shock No. 1 North Carolina
Chace Stanback scored a career-high 28 points and added 10 rebounds to help UNLV beat top-ranked North Carolina 90-80 in the championship game of the Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena in 2011. It was first time UNLV played a No.1 team since 1985, oddly enough against the Tar Heels at the Great Alaskan Shootout.

Lady Rebels Win First Mountain West Championship
The Lady Rebels claimed their first-ever Mountain West championship, and first overall conference title since 1993-94 when UNLV topped Utah State 68-58 to claim a share of the 2017-18 regular season championship thanks to a 14-4 overall record, which also set a new record for most conference victories in MW play. UNLV actually trailed at halftime by two, but opened the second half on an 18-2 run. Senior Brooke Johnson, who days later would be named MW Defensive Player of the Year, tied a career-high with five three-pointers in the game on the way to a game-high 22 points.

UNLV Routs Air Force To Become Bowl Eligible
Playing the coldest game in school and most likely conference history (wind chill well below zero), UNLV routs Air Force 41-21 in 2013 on its home field to become bowl eligible for the first time in 13 years. The Rebels would go on to win their home finale and be chosen to play in the Heart of Dallas Bowl on New Year's Day.

Rebels Three-Peat At Mountain West Championship
UNLV led wire-to-wire to win its third straight Mountain West Championship by 11 shots at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington. UNLV senior Shintaro Ban fired a tournament-low 7-under 65 during the final round to earn medalist honors by nine shots at 16-under 200. Ban set Mountain West individual records for total score (previous record: 202), score relative to par (previous record: 12-under) and margin of victory (previous record: four shots). The team win was UNLV's fifth all-time at the MW Championship and Ban became the seventh Rebel to win the MW individual crown (first since 2015: Kurt Kitayama).

Rebels Win Third Straight MW Title
Rebels won the Mountain West Women's Golf Championships for the third straight year, becoming just second team in league history to win three consecutive conference titles.

2016
Rebels Top No. 18 SDSU in Penalty Kick Shootout
UNLV tops 18th-ranked San Diego State in a PK shootout 6-5 in San Diego to knock off the Aztecs to advance to the NCAA Tournament's Second Round, the first time the Rebels moved past the NCAA first round since 1985. Adam Musovski scored the lone UNLV goal of the game to put the Rebels up 1-0, the game eventually ended in a 1-1 double-overtime tie before UNLV claimed the shootout. The Rebels reached the NCAA's thanks to winning the WAC Tournament autobid after stunning top-ranked and 23rd-ranked Utah Valley and third-seed Air Force for the tournament title.

Mountain West Regular Season and Tournament Champions
The Rebels were both the Mountain West Regular Season and Tournament Champions for the first time in the same season and clinched their first NCAA Tournament bid in 10 years.

Rebels Upset Stanford On Its Home Field: Game 1 | Game 2
UNLV beat Stanford on its home field two consecutive days, marking the first wins over the Cardinal in program history.

2014
Rebels Place 19th At NCAA Championship
Thanks to the best day in UNLV men's swimming history, in which it scored in three events at the NCAA Championships, the Rebels would finish in a school-record best 19th place at the 2014 national championships. That was highlighted by the first-ever All-American relay swim in team history, as the Rebels finished sixth in the nation in the 200 free relay thanks to the team of Samuel Lameynardie, Guilherme Passos, Dillon Virva and Tom Paco-Pedroni. Virva would also place 13th that night in the 50 free, while UNLV finished 15th in the 400 medley relay, to put UNLV in 13th place after day one, before eventually finishing 19th overall.

Rebel Individuals Record Top 16 Finishes At NCAA Championship: Dixon | Herrington
2012 saw the biggest highlight of the decade for the UNLV women, as the Rebels placed 43rd in the nation thanks to a pair of scorers. Katelyne Herrington earned Honorable Mention in the 100 fly after placing 14th, while the stunner of the meet was Rachel Dixon, as she came into the meet seeded 30th but would claim 15th in the 50 free to also earn Honorable Mention All-American honors.

Rebels Win Mountain West Title
UNLV upset Boise State at the Fertitta Tennis Complex, 4-3, to win the Mountain West Championship and earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

2019
Rebels Use Late-Season Run To Win MW Regular Season And Tournament Championships
UNLV goes on a late-season run to win both the Mountain West Regular Season and Tournament Championship in the same season for the first time and then stuns No. 26 Texas Tech in the NCAA First Round in Los Angeles.

UNLV Claims First MW Indoor Championship
UNLV claimed its first Mountain West Indoor Championship title, scoring 82 points on the third and final day of competition. The Rebels got 13 top-eight finishes, including wins in the 400m and 4x400m relay, to move from seventh to first place on day three.

UNLV Records First NCAA Tournament Victory
UNLV claimed its first postseason victory in program history, knocking off No. 22 Utah, 3-1, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Rebels would go on to drop their second round affair with No. 10 BYU and end the year with a 24-8 overall record.
