LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – After dealing with two straight rainouts in the past week and a delayed start because of weather on Saturday, the UNLV men's tennis team gutted out a 4-3 victory at Pacific.
 
The Rebels (6-1) earned their first road victory of the young season in comeback fashion as the Tigers (2-4) won two of three doubles matches for a 1-0 lead. The hosts also won the first set on five of six singles court before UNLV rallied, getting a win at the top of the lineup from senior Olle Thestrup and posting points from the entire bottom half of the lineup.
 
NET NOTES: Both sophomore Clayton Alenik (court five) and freshman Tom Ciszewski (court six) won their matches to remain undefeated in dual-match play (6-0) in 2019.
 
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Freshman Milos Dabic, playing singles in a collegiate dual match for the first time, was one of five Rebels to lose his opening set but rallied to down Akram El Sallaly, 5-7, 6-1, 6-3, on court four to earn a key team point.  
 
QUOTABLE: "Today was a total team effort. We played well in doubles but it didn't go our way. However, the guys stayed positive and managed to come back after falling behind in singles. I'm proud of the team for getting the win on the road against a tough opponent."

NEXT FOR THE REBELS: UNLV will be back at home for the first time in three weeks when it hosts a doubleheader Friday vs. NAU (11 am) and Seattle (3 pm). Admission to all home matches is free of charge.
