LIHUE, Hawaii (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's golf team shot a final-round 4-under-par 284 on Saturday and finished in fifth place at the 43rd Annual John A. Burns Intercollegiate, which was played at Wailua Golf Course (par 72, 6,991 yards).
No. 11 Arizona State captured the team title by three shots at 24-under 840 after a final-round 6-under 282. No. 20 Texas A&M finished second at 21-under, followed by No. 2 Duke at 19-under, North Carolina at 18-under and the Rebels at 13-under.
BYU's Peter Kuest shot a final-round 4-under 68 to earn medalist honors by a shot at 10-under 206. Texas A&M's Walker Lee placed second at 9-under, followed by UC Santa Barbara's Zach Smith in third at 8-under.
REBEL OF THE DAY: Freshman
David Rauch was UNLV's top individual finisher as he tied for ninth at 6-under 201. He was 3-under during the final round after six birdies and three bogeys.

REBEL NOTES:
• This was UNLV's second tournament of the spring season.
• The Rebels are the
three-time defending Mountain West champions.
• Last year's team also finished third at the NCAA Regional in Columbus, Ohio, and placed in the top 20 at the NCAA Championship.
• Trent earned the Mountain West Freshman of the Year award last season, while Hall and Trent were all recognized as All-MW performers.
• Hall was named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar in July.
• UNLV has played in a NCAA-record 30 straight regionals.
• This year marks head coach Dwaine Knight's 32nd season leading the Rebel program.
