LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team lost the doubles point to open play but rallied in singles to down UC Riverside 4-2 Sunday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
The Rebels improved to 5-0 this season despite the Highlanders taking two 7-6 wins to earn the doubles point. UCR also won on court one in singles but the hosts won three straight-setters at the bottom of the lineup and then clinched it when Richard Solberg won on court three, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
 
NET NOTES: UNLV was 3-0 in doubles this season before Sunday.
 
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Jordan Sauer teamed with Olle Thestrup to win 6-1 for UNLV's only win in doubles play and then swept Fillip Engstrom in singles, 6-3, 6-2,
 
QUOTABLE: "Once again we found a way to win against a scrappy team. Now we have to get ready for a tough road trip next weekend."
