LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV track & field team will travel to the Lone Star State this week to participate in the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. The four-day meet began Wednesday; however, the Rebels will have their first competitor take to the track on day two (Thursday), while the rest of the squad will compete in a total of seven events Friday. The fourth and final day of the meet (Saturday) hosted by the University of Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium will feature finals of six of those seven events.
The Longhorn Network, ESPN's 24-hour network devoted to UT Athletics, will televise 14 hours of the meet with Paul Sunderland providing play-by-play and Ahmad Brooks serving as sideline reporter. Former U.S. Olympians Dan O'Brien and Dwight Stones will serve as analysts.
Avi'Tal Wilson-Perteete will take to the track first for UNLV Thursday evening in the 800m Invitational at 7:05 pm CT (5:05 pm PT).
The Rebels will be busy Friday morning with the prelims of the 100m, 100m hurdles, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay, which are all scheduled for 9:35 am CT (7:35 am PT). Additionally, the squad will have participants in the prelims of the long jump as well as the prelims/final of the shot put (section B) at 10:00 am CT (9:00 am PT).
Friday afternoon will see
Mackenna Howard compete in the prelims/final of the shot put (section A), while four members of the squad will run in the 1600m Sprint Medley Relay.

- Overall, UNLV has 15 student-athletes ranked a total of 19 times in the top 10 of 13 MW events.
- Wilson-Perteete and Hicks lead the Mountain West in the 1500m and 100m hurdles.
- Howard ranks second in the shot put and seventh in the hammer.
- Love is second in the 100m.
- Pegram is second in the 100m hurdles.
- Williams ranks eighth in both the 100m hurdles and long jump.
