LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV track & field program's Jaela Williams finished third amongst collegiate competitors (sixth overall) Friday in the long jump at the Steve Scott Invitational, which is hosted by UC Irvine at Anteater Stadium. Williams was one of six Rebel long jumpers that competed in a field comprised of 45 participants.
 
Williams registered a mark of 19-9 (6.02m) in the long jump. Jonon Young was the next closest Rebel finisher, with a distance of 18-11.75 (5.78m) for 10th collegiate (15th overall).
 
Mackenna Howard was sixth against collegiate competition (ninth overall) in the hammer throw with a measurement of 173-10 (52.99m) to lead the quartet of Scarlet & Gray throwers in the field event.
 
Saturday's schedule consists of nine track and four field events. The action on the track starts with the 4x100m relay (12:00 pm) and ends with the 4x400m relay (6:20 pm), while all four field events will take place in between those two – shot put (12:15 pm), triple jump (2:00 pm), high jump (3:00 pm) and discus (3:15 pm).
 
Entering the week, the Rebels have four student-athletes ranked in the top 30 of three events in the NCAA. Avi'Tal Wilson-Perteete is first nationally in the 800m after her performance at last weekend's Bryan Clay Invitational. Additionally, Jasmyne Graham and Taylor Pegram are 13th and 18th, respectively, in the 100m hurdles, and Kaysha Love is 26th in the 100m.

- Jaylen Walker recorded a personal-best distance of 17-8 (5.38m) in the long jump Friday.
- Nicole Snow competed in her first 5000m and ran a time of 20:34.17.
- The Rebels have 15 student-athletes ranked a total of 23 times in the top 10 of 13 Mountain West events.
- Wilson-Perteete sits sixth in the 1500m and seventh in the 400m in the conference standings.
- In the 100m hurdles, Graham is first in the MW, while Pegram sits second. Graham is also fifth in the long jump and sixth in the 400m hurdles in the conference standings.
- Love is first in the 200m and seventh in the long jump in the conference standings.
- Jonon Young is third in the MW in the triple jump.
- Jaela Williams is fourth in the MW in the long jump and eighth in the 100m hurdles.
- Elisa Rovere is fourth in the MW in the 800m
- Mackenna Howard is second in the MW in the shot put and eighth in the hammer throw.
- Cassidy Osborne-Butler is fourth in the MW in the shot put.
