FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV senior Harry Hall shot even-par 72, while the Rebels as a team were 22-over during the first round Friday at the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship played at Blessings Golf Club (par 72, 7,550 yards).
Hall is just five shots off the individual lead and is tied for 12th. As a team, UNLV is 23rd out of the 30 teams at the national championship.
No. 1 Oklahoma State is the team leader after a 2-over 290, while No. 10 Stanford is second at 3-over and No. 11 Auburn and No. 12 California are both tied for third at 4-over.
California's Collin Morikawa is the individual leader at 5-under 67, while there is a three-way tie for second at 3-under.
SECOND ROUND PLAY: The second round will begin at 6:50 a.m. CT on Saturday. UNLV's tee times are scheduled to begin at 1:27 p.m. CT.
ROUND 3 CUT: The top 15 teams and nine individuals not on a qualifying team following the conclusion of the third round Sunday will advance to the final day of 18 holes of stroke play on Monday, May 27 to determine the individual national champion and the top eight teams that will advance to match play.
There are a total of 156 individuals competing.
