- UNLV women's golf head coach Amy Bush-Herzer has announced the addition of former LPGA player and collegiate all-american Erica Popson to her coaching staff. Popson replaces assistant coach Tilly Gretsch.

"I couldn't be more thrilled to have Erica join my staff," said Bush-Herzer. "She knows what it takes to be successful at the collegiate and professional levels and I know she will be a great asset to the program."

Popson attended the University of Tennessee and was a highly decorated member of the Vols' women's golf team from the fall of 2009 through the spring of 2013. The Davenport, Florida, native received three all-america nods during her collegiate career, earning a NGCA and Golfweek First Team honor in 2011 and a WGCA Second Team award in 2013. Popson won six individual titles at Tennessee, where she concluded her four years with a 73.40 scoring average, 19 top-10 finishes, three all-region selections and two all-conference selections.

In between her junior and senior seasons, Popson was also a member of the 2012 USA Curtis Cup Team, representing the United States in a three-day competition against the United Kingdom and Ireland in Nairn, Scotland in June of 2012.

After graduating, Popson went on to pursue her professional career, joining the Symetra Tour in 2013 before earning her LPGA Tour card in 2014. Returning to the Symetra Tour in 2015, Popson has played in over 90 tournaments over the past five years, collecting 13 top-10 finishes and an individual win at the 2016 Symetra Classic.

This will be the first career coaching position for Popson.
