PEORIA, Arizona (UNLVRebels.com) -Â The UNLV women's golf team shot a 1-under 287 on the final day of the Westbrooke Invite Monday to finish with its best three-round score of the year at 9-under 855, placing sixth at the event. It was the first time since the Battle of Boulder Creek in March of 2017 that the Rebels carded under-par scores as a team in all three rounds.
The two day tournament was hosted by Wisconsin and took place at the Westbrook Village Golf Club (par 72, 6,252-yards) in Peoria, Arizona. The Rebels opened the event Sunday with two rounds under par, with the second-round 5-under 283 matching their best single-round team score of the year.Â
Three Rebels - juniors
Samantha Fuller and
Cathy Liu and freshman
Elina Saksa - entered the final round in a tie for 12th after each carded a score of 4-under on day one. Elizabeth Prior -4;
Mackenzie Raim -2; and
Shannon Oh -1).
