ANN ARBOR, Mich. (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's golf team concluded its season Wednesday with a pair of top-25 finishes from sophomore
Amber Chen and junior
Zi Yu Foong at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional held at University of Michigan Golf Course (Par 71, 6,260 yards).
REBEL ROUNDUP: Chen (+4), who led the Rebels' final-round scorecard at 2-over 73 with 15 par-or-better holes and two birdies on the day, tied for 19th in her first NCAA Regional appearance. Foong (+7), meanwhile, picked up her second career top-25 outing in the NCAA postseason as she tied for 24th.
Rounding out the Scarlet & Gray's four NCAA Regional debuts, freshman
Demi Du (+15) tied for 42nd, junior
Jane Huang (+18) tied for 48th and freshman
Lana Yamagata (+29) followed in 61st.
SECOND-ROUND HIGHLIGHTS: For the third consecutive day, the Rebels went unblemished on at least one hole. All five UNLV players in the lineup tallied a par on the par-5 11th hole, which is the course's second longest hole at 507 yards.
FINAL LEADERBOARD: USC won the team title at 1-over for the tournament and was joined in advancing to the NCAA Championship by Ohio State (+6) in second, Duke (+16) in third, Northwestern (+17) in fourth and Texas Tech (+22) in fifth. The Rebels (+41) posted the best finish among non-Power-4 programs at the regional site, landing three spots out of an advancing spot with a tied-for-eighth performance.
NOTES:
- As a team, UNLV posted five top-5 performances during the 2025-26 campaign and three top-5 finishes in their last four events to close the spring season. That stretch includes its repeat as Mountain West Champions.
- Additionally, the Scarlet & Gray saw junior Zi Yu Foong (Colonel Wallenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic) and sophomore Amber Chen (Jackrabbits Invitational) each clinch their first career individual victories on the year.
- Foong - the MW Golfer of the Year - and Chen both represented the Rebels on the Mountain West All-Conference First Team.
- In her 15th year at the helm of the UNLV women's golf program, head coach Amy Bush-Herzer was named MW Coach of the Year for the second straight year and the fifth time in her career.
- The Scarlet & Gray captured its ninth conference title and the sixth of Bush-Herzer's tenure this season.
