LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - During the morning of Thursday, September 24, the following letter was sent to the Rebel Athletic Fund members by UNLV Director of Athletics Desiree-Reed Francois. 

A transformational commitment from the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education was highlighted.



Dear Rebel Athletic Fund Members,

This was a very special week for our Momentum Fund efforts as we continue our campaign dedicated to the success of our exceptional student-athletes.

Since our launch, we have seen countless acts of extraordinary generosity. The response to our call for help, during a period with so many impacted, has been nothing short of inspirational.

It was especially moving this week as we received another transformational commitment from the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education. Over the past two years, the Agassi Foundation has advanced student-athlete excellence in life-changing ways, providing essential funding for academic support programs that keep our student-athletes on track to graduate.

The impact of these investments can be seen in six straight semesters of a collective grade point average of 3.0 or higher for our student-athlete population. Truly, the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education is positioning us to prepare leaders of character who excel by example and inspire the next generation of UNLV Rebels.

It is our honor to thank Andre Agassi, Stefanie Graf and Agassi Graf Holdings CEO Steve Miller for a partnership and friendship that we could not be more proud of. It is also our privilege to thank the Agassi Foundation for a new Momentum Fund commitment…a gift that will further enhance our ability to provide scholarships to deserving student-athletes.
