TULSA, OK (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team returns to the course this week as the Rebels will compete in the 2021 Dale McNamara Invitational Monday and Tuesday in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The two-day event is hosted by the University of Tulsa at the Par-72 6,200-yard course at the Golf Club of Oklahoma in Broken Arrow. Two rounds will be played Monday with the final round set for Tuesday. Play will begin with shotgun starts both mornings at 8:30 a.m. CT.
In its last outing, UNLV finished ninth at The Molly in Monterey, California. Senior
Veronica Joels was the highest Rebel finisher on the leaderboard with a three-round score of 12-over 228, followed by freshman
Kendall Todd, finishing in a tie for 28th at 13-over 229. Junior transfer
Nicole Lorup finished in a tie for 45th at 18-over 234.
In addition to Joels, Todd and Lorup, the lineup in Tulsa will feature two freshmen -
Sydney Bryan, who played in the first tournament in New Mexico, and
Hina Matsui, who will be making her Rebel collegiate debut Monday.
After the event in Tulsa, the Rebels will have a quick turnaround as they will head to San Marcos, Texas, for Texas State's Jim West Invitational, Oct. 17-18.
THE FIELD: The 2021 Dale McNamara Invitational field features 13 teams: BYU, Fresno State, Kansas State, Lamar, Nebraska, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, SMU, Texas State, UNLV, UTSA and host Tulsa.
