LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV baseball team will play a total of 44 regular-season games in 2021, with 36 of those against Mountain West competition and eight versus three nonconference squads. In all, the Rebels will play 25 home contests at Earl E. Wilson Stadium and 19 away from the Las Vegas Valley.
The Scarlet & Gray will play a three-game home and away series against each MW team that consists of a doubleheader and a single contest. Eleven of the 12 conference series will take place on weekends (Saturday-Sunday) except for the home tilt against Fresno State on April 2-3 (Friday-Saturday).
The nonconference affairs will feature a season- and home-opening, four-game series against the Western Athletic Conference's New Mexico State Aggies (Feb. 19-21) and two games apiece against the Pac-12 Conference's Arizona State Sun Devils and Washington State Cougars. UNLV and ASU will square off once apiece in Phoenix (March 16) and Las Vegas (March 30), while WSU will travel to Southern Nevada for its two games on March 23-24.
The 2021 season gets underway with 10 straight home games spread over three weekends, with visits from NMSU, UNR (Feb. 27-28) and New Mexico (March 6-7).
The Rebels hit the road for the first time in mid-March with trips to San Diego and Phoenix to face San Diego State and ASU, respectively. The trek to Southern California will take place March 13-14, while the excursion to Phoenix will take place two days later on March 16.
Following that road trip, UNLV will have 30 games remaining with an even split of 15-15 at home and away.
