LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After almost a year away from official competition, the UNLV women's golf team will finally return to the course Monday and Tuesday, hosting the Rebel Beach Invitational at Spanish Trail Country Club. The 54-hole tournament takes place on a par 72 6,400 yard course and will feature two rounds on Monday followed by a final round on Tuesday.

The Rebels enter the spring with some familiar and fresh faces as they return Veronica Joels, Samantha Fuller, Tori James, Dana Puyol, Elina Saksa, Luka Van der Merwe and Aliyah Williams and welcome a pair of freshmen in Madeleine Laux and Gracie Orlowski. Laux and Orlowski will both be making their Rebel debuts this week at Spanish Trail.

After Rebel Beach, UNLV will have a quick turnaround, heading to Seal Beach, California, for Long Beach State's Gold Rush, set for Monday, February 23 and Tuesday, February 23.

THE FIELD: The 2021 Rebel Beach Invitational features a total of 13 teams including host UNLV. In addition to the Rebels, the teams include BYU, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Iowa, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, SMU, Tulsa, UNR and UTSA.

THE LINEUP:  The UNLV lineup at Rebel Beach is junior Veronica Joels, freshman Madeleine Laux and sophomore Elina Saksa, Dana Puyol and Aliyah Williams. Freshman Gracie Olkowski and Luke Van der Merwe will be playing as individuals.
