Senior Day Wednesday, Pink Game Thursday In Mid-Week Series Against Broncos

UNLV looking to make a run at a top-three spot in the Mountain West.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Fresh off their second Mountain West road sweep of the season, the UNLV Lady Rebels will host their final home series of the regular season when they take on the Boise State Broncos in a pair of mid-week games. First up is a Wednesday, 12 pm contest which will also serve as Senior Day for guard Bailey Thomas, who will be honored in a ceremony postgame, while Thursday's game will have a 2 pm start. Both games are being held in the Cox Pavilion.

There will be a live video stream available for both games on the Mountain West Network, featuring the call of Ben Wilson and Ashly Dickinson (color analyst), while Wyatt Tomchek will provide play-by-play for the Lady Rebels' radio broadcast. Both the video stream and the radio broadcast can be accessed at UNLVRebels.com.

UNLV Game Notes

♦ This is a key series for both teams, as UNLV enters the week alone in fourth place at 8-4, while Boise State is one spot back at 6-6 in league play. The Lady Rebels need to keep winning if they want to both ensure a first-round bye in the conference tournament and if they are to make a run at the third seed, while the Broncos are hoping to hold off late season runs from Wyoming and UNR.
♦ This is also a matchup of two teams trending in opposite directions, as UNLV has won five of its last six games coming into Wednesday's series opener. The Broncos meanwhile have dropped five of their past six games, the lone win coming in a home split with UNR. The two games this week will be just the fifth and sixth road games of the season for BSU.
♦ Traditionally Boise State has featured a strong three-point squad, but that's not the case this year as the Broncos are dead last in the league in three-pointers per game at just four. UNLV meanwhile ranks near the league leaders in three-pointers per game and percentage, while three players are individually ranked in the MW for most three-pointers per game.
♦  UNLV is one of the youngest and most inexperienced teams in the nation. The 11-player Lady Rebels roster is the sixth-youngest team in the nation with an average age of 19.5, while they are the only team in the nation with at least 90% of its roster that started the season with just one career total Division I start.
