LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's
Milos Dabic has been named Mountain West Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the first time, the league announced Wednesday.
The Rebels played just one match last week but Dabic went a combined 2-0 vs. power program Pepperdine, currently ranked 27th, at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on Friday.
The native of Belgrade, Serbia, first teamed with
Jordan Sauer for a 6-4 victory over Pietro Fellin and Daniel DeJonge at the No. 3 spot to help UNLV secure the doubles point.
Dabic then upset 90th-ranked Corrado Summaria, 7-6, 6-2, on court three to post his team's only point in singles play.
The Rebels next compete at San Diego Friday starting at 10 a.m.
